john neville

perthshire-based artist john neville only began painting regularly in his early twenties. After ten years in london, john returned to scotland to spending time in the highlands and subsequently his subject matter evolved from industrial vistas and figural work to landscape.

This development saw encouraging results and John left his job in 1995 to become a full-time artist.

Having fostered a colourful and unusual style in his early work and consistently experimenting with technique he has forged a unique style of low-relief paintings with the integrity of his colour palette.

Best known for his semi-sculptural work, john has exhibited across the UK, from london and sussex to Glasgow and dundee.
